Remembering Economist Mike Mussa

Michael Mussa , the International Monetary Fund ‘s chief economist throughout the 1990s, died Sunday. The Journal’s full Remembrance piece from Monday evening is here, including this favorite Mussa joke — that his favorite instrument of economic policy was prayer. “It was not demonstrably less effective than the other instruments and it had none of the adverse side effects.”
